Classes every day at 9:00, 11:00 and 18:00 hs.
Maha Shanti School of Yoga teaches and practices an integral style of yoga. Our teachings enhance the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life along with the physical body. This approach links back to the very roots of yoga, to the ancient sacred texts of India. We honor these sciences with a practice that regards asanas more as sacred geometry, than just physical postures.
The essence of our lineage is captured in these six words: serve, love, give, purify, meditate, and realize.
We teach proper asanas, relaxation, breathing, diet, thinking and meditation.
Lal Maharajh, the director of Maha Shanti School of Yoga, grew up in the temple, Ramrick Sadhu’s Sewala and yoga was a part of his life from a very early age. He received initiation and mantras from his Guru Pujya Sat Gurudev Pundit Lutchmee Persad who ardently followed Swami Sivananda’s teachings. In 1964 Lal received Janeau, an essential ritual for Brahmins to receive the sacred threads.
Lal is registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. He is a provider for the Continuing Educational Program YACEP and he is also the director of Maha Shanti School of Yoga, previously Vastu School of Yoga.
